I absolutely love Spring time in Tenneessee. I got the chance to take my first little photo walk of the season just the other day. I was suppose to be resting before work that night, but instead I wanted to go play with the camera a bit. It was such a beautiful day. Sunny, clear skies and low 70's. Picture perfect. And although bright sun doesn't make for the best photos, I decided to go and shoot anyways. Here a few of the shots I got :)

What's in a name
When my husband and I decided to try and turn our passion into something profitable our first task was deciding what our little business venture should be called. Holy moly was that tough! We tossed around many ideas. Family is really important to us, so at first we tried to incorporate different family names. We had some good options, but thought it might be confusing to call our business by a name different than our own. With our last name being Smith, we wanted to come up with something more original, and unique. So we turned our efforts elsewhere. Besides family and photography, we also love being outdoors. One of our favorite things to do is sit on our front porch and drink our coffee in the morning. We live atop a hollow on a road that twists and turns with the creek beside it. Here we are surrounded by trees, birds, picturesque hills and a grand Willow tree in the middle of it all. It is here we discuss our dreams and visions for our future. We've always dreamed of owning a house in the county and we couldn't have found a more perfect place to put down roots and watch our family grow. We decided to use the realization of one dream in hopes of propelling another. This is how Mazy Hollow Photography was born. We dream of building a studio one day on the edge of our property. It's a big dream, but that's what dreams or for, right? One day we'll be able to sit on our porch and look at that little studio at the bottom of the hill and say "we did this" and smile :)
